What we collect, why, and what you can change. Last updated October 8, 2026.
What we collect
- Account
- Your email address, handle and the profile details you add. Passwords are stored hashed by our sign-in service. We never see them.
- Posts and activity
- Takes, replies, votes, ratings, lists, follows, predictions, game results and Letterboxd imports. Most of this shows on your public profile.
- Questions
- What you ask in the search box, kept to show what people are asking. Linked to your account when you are signed in.
- Usage
- Pages you open, clicks, taps, scrolling and mouse movement, recorded as session replays and heatmaps. Also your device, browser, screen size, the page that sent you and a rough location from your IP address. Text you type into form fields is hidden from recordings.
- Technical
- Your IP address, used to stop abuse and kept in server logs for up to 30 days.

Usage recording

Edit your profile or delete your account in Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile and everything you posted. Questions you asked stay in the question count, no longer tied to an account.
How we use it
- Run Reelmigo and show your profile, posts and stats.
- Keep accounts secure and stop spam and abuse.
- Count what people ask and show the popular questions.
- See where the site confuses people, so we can fix it.
We do not sell your data, show ads, or use it for advertising.
Who helps run the site
Service providers host the database and sign-in, run the servers, record usage analytics, and read questions our own parser cannot, for signed-in members only. They handle data for us and under our instructions.
Anything you post publicly can be seen by anyone. We share data with authorities only when the law requires it.
Cookies and storage
- Sign-in cookies
- Keep you signed in. Required for an account.
- cm-theme
- Remembers light or dark mode.
- cm-analytics
- Remembers whether you opted out of usage recording.
- _clck, _clsk
- Usage analytics. They recognize a returning browser and link the pages of one visit. Kept up to one year. The analytics provider may also set cookies on its own domain.
- Local storage
- Holds your game streak in this browser until you sign in.
How long we keep it
- Account data
- Until you delete your account.
- Session replays
- 30 days. A replay we save to study a problem is kept up to 13 months.
- Heatmaps
- Up to 13 months.
- Server logs
- Up to 30 days.
Everything else
Reelmigo is not for children under 13. Do not create an account if you are under 13.
Your data is stored and processed in the United States.
If this page changes in a way that matters, we will say so on the site. Questions go to the project owner. The rules for using the site are in the terms.
